I’ve got a doctor’s appointment on Monday.  I’m going to bring the labs and data I’ve collected and see if they’ll prescribe meds for me without having to do additional (expensive) testing.  Life has become stressful again.  I’m giving up.  Bring on the Metformin and the beta blockers.

Maybe at some point I’ll be able to lose weight and get off of these medications.

I’m unable to do this right now.

  1. I’m not going to say that I know how you’re feeling, because to be honest I have no idea how you’re feeling…..but I can say that if I were you, I would see this as a very temporary setback. I see a medication like Metformin as a modern tool to help stabilize things while your body heals, not much unlike things like progesterone supplements, red light, etc.

And I would be damn proud of myself. I want to have guts like yours when I grow up. 🙂

  2. Everything will be ok. You did not lose the war, just a small battle. A bit of a detour and then you will be on the right track. Had to give in to Lisinopril to help with GAD spiking my BP and my Cortisol. Included in this mix is Celexa to increase Seritonin. I need calm right now.
